How does acknowledging and loving God lead us to salvation?

God’s Word says:

“Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be your name, your Kingdom come, your Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. For yours is the Kingdom and the power and the Glory, for ever and ever, in Jesus Name, amen.” (Mathew 6v9, 10, 13)

Whoever acknowledges Me (Jesus) before men, I will also acknowledge him before My Father in Heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before My Father in Heaven. (Mathew 10v32, 33)

This is how God showed His love among us: He sent his one and only (begotten) Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. (Mathew 4v9, 10, 15)

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves the child as well. This is love for God: to obey His commands. And His commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God . And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. (1 John5v1-5, 11, 12)

“Because he loves ME, says the Lord, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges My name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.” (Psalm 91v14-16)

We thank you Holy Father God for your everlasting love and your goodness, which leads us to repentance, in Jesus Name. Amen.
